Board Room Soccer League began in October 2005, based on the English Premier League. BRSL is different from other football simulation games. The goal for BRSL managers is to hit (or even better, beat) their respective board's expectations. Of course, winning tropheys is always a bonus, and overachieving clubs will benefit greatly from the board. However, this also means that underachieving clubs will be penalized by the board, by having players sold to cover debt, and attracting less supporters to home fixtures. BRSL is run using the free ESMS+ match engine, available at the ESMS+ Homepage.
